Columbus Counts at Salem Elementary
Marty and Sarah spend April Fools Day at Salem Elementary! The students had already noticed the Spring changes in the plants around their play ground & made some great connections about the trees they were drawing!
Students: Add to this blog! You can post the changes happening to the plants around your school on this blog. I would love to hear how the space around your school is growing and changing throughout the seasons. You are a very creative bunch of kids!
Enjoy the photos...

At Cynthia Woods with CSG!
Pilated Woodpecker
Flagging
RecordingFPC Educators Sarah and Mary visited Cynthia Woods with the Columbus School for Girls' 8th grade class yesterday! It was a beautiful day and the girls were able to get some hands on experience measuring tree growth! Thanks for inviting us to such a special place. We would love to hear from some of the girls about their experiences:
What did you do with the Franklin Park Conservatory Staff while at Cynthia Woods?
What was your favorite part?
Where you able to apply any of the knowledge/skills learned at school to this hands on experience?
What did you learn?
How many trees do you think it would take to off-set your personal carbon footprint? What about the carbon footprint of the entire 8th grade?
Please share your experiences and the data that you collected with us all!
